Successful Risk Business Breakfast in Our Office
On October 17th, we had the pleasure of hosting the first-ever Risk Business Breakfast at our office, an event that brought together over 50 professionals from the banking, risk, ESG, and IT sectors. The aim? To discuss the pressing challenges surrounding ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) factors and the European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS) regulation.
The breakfast wasn’t just an opportunity to enjoy coffee and morning pastries—it was a chance to engage with industry leaders and exchange ideas on how ESG trends are shaping the future of banking, especially in the context of credit risk modeling and the increasing focus on climate-related risks.
Key Takeaways from Our Expert Speakers
We were honored to have Slaven Micković as our guest speaker. His insights into the methodological challenges of integrating climate risk into credit risk models were well received by the audience. With ESG regulations tightening, the banking industry must refine its approach to ensure sustainable, long-term decision-making that aligns with regulatory expectations.
Nino Surjan also took the stage to shed light on how AI can streamline ESG reporting processes. Showcasing our proprietary tool, Simple ESRS, he demonstrated how artificial intelligence can enhance transparency and efficiency in ESG compliance. For banking clients seeking credit, this innovation simplifies the ESG reporting process, allowing them to meet regulatory requirements more efficiently while focusing on their core business. By streamlining data collection and analysis, AI tools like Simple ESRS make it easier for banks to assess credit risk tied to ESG factors, ultimately enabling faster, more informed lending decisions.

We are excited to continue with this kind of events in our office. Future editions of the Risk Business Breakfast will dive deeper into a broad spectrum of topics, each tailored to address the latest challenges and trending issues in the banking and financial industry.d more. We invite all attendees—and those who couldn’t make it—to suggest potential themes for upcoming events. Your input will help shape the agenda and ensure that each session addresses the most relevant and impactful topics.
